DIAMOND

The most common point is the diamond point. It is used where medium to soft wood applications are predominant. If a diamond point is used in frozen or hard woods, splitting becomes a problem.

BLUNT   CHISEL

The blunt chisel point was developed to reduce splitting.
It will not, however, drive as easily as the diamond point.

BLUNT DIAMOND

The blunt diamond point was developed to solve both penetration and splitting. Blunt to reduce splitting in hardwoods and diamond to aid in driving and holding power.

SHANK TYPES
plain.jpg (8326 bytes) PLAIN

Plain (smooth) shank nails are available in a wide variety of shank diameters and lengths. They provide excellent holding power in wood applications.

ring.jpg (8821 bytes) RING

The ring nail has many angular rings on the shank which, when driven will provide extra holding power. They are best used with soft woods such as plywood or underlayment.

screw.jpg (8903 bytes) SCREW

The screw nail is a very commonly used fastener where extra holding power is required. In theory, the screw nail "screws" or twists itself into the wood when driven.
Specifically designed for use in hardwood applications.

We offer a selection of highly reliable coil nails from 32mm to 100mm in length.
