Sajian Anggerik Biru (SAB) was founded in 1974 by Hj. Mahamad Sharipp bin Sa'afie. He started this as a small hawker stall, selling 'roti canai'.

As the country's economy was rising, the food industry became important. Looking at this, Hj. Mahamad Sharipp Sa'afie diversified his business from 'roti canai hawker stall to food catering business. This move was well supported by his loyal customers and other people who know him.

In 1983, SAB was officially registered under 'Akta Perniagaan Malaysia' as a Sole Proprietor. This indirectly boosted up the confidence of those people who wanted to do business with SAB. From that moment onwards SAB received canteen and cafeteria tenders and the followings are some of them.
